Securing Your Credit Card Information

Unlike some ecommerce sites, Booklocker.com does not store your credit card number after you have bought something. We delete the number from our database.

There really is no good reason to keep the number after the sale is complete. The only reason sites do this is so customers don't have to re-enter the number next time they order.

In our opinion, the risk of storing credit card numbers online far outweighs any modest convenience one gets from not having to retype it for future orders. So we just don't do it.

We do save your contact information and when you re-order from us you don't have to retype it for future orders.

We take all reasonable precautions possible against hacking of our web server and customer database. We update our software regularly and we have a dedicated SSL server to protect your credit card and personal information. SSL encrypts all ordering information so that it cannot be read in transit.
